In March 2008, Simon traveled to Moscow to cover Russia’s Presidential Election for “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” on America’s PBS television network.
Simon filed daily reports for the broadcast, but also produced a series of video dispatches for the program’s website. These “online-only” videos helped viewers learn more about upcoming editions of the newscast, and also built the audience’s bond with the NewsHour brand by encouraging viewers to peak behind-the-curtain as Simon and his production team prepared their material for air.
