As a Correspondent, Simon travels the world on a continuing basis for the most respected news outlets on-the-air.  He’s interviewed many of the world’s leading newsmakers, including Presidents and Prime Ministers.  He’s reported from the four corners of the globe, covering wars and revolutions, coups and elections, and specializing in thoughtful, in-depth reporting of the major international events of our time.

Simon regularly anchors coverage of historic events, including the November 2008 election of President Barack Obama.

Simon hosted his own global affairs program, has anchored special coverage of breaking news events for US audiences and regularly produces videos that are used in a variety of Corporate Executive Simulations in the United States.

Interview with President Vladimir Putin, St. Petersburg, July 2001

Simon’s work as a broadcast consultant has helped several news organizations overhaul their operations, train their staff in the implementation of integrated, “platform-neutral” production processes, and build audiences as a result.  Simon is passionate about the need to make serious-minded coverage of global affairs available to audiences worldwide and he was a key member of the team that re-launched America’s PBS NewsHour on-air and on-line in December 2009.  He helped the program create a digital network newsroom, and train staff in new production workflows that emphasize flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
